Relief for TMJ pain

The temporomandibular joint connects your jaw to your skull — when it's inflamed or misaligned, it can affect daily life.

TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint — the joint that lets your mouth open and close. When that joint is under strain, the result is often called TMJ disorder (TMD), and the discomfort it causes can make everyday things like eating and talking harder than they should be.

Common symptoms

  • Jaw pain or tenderness, especially near the ear
  • Clicking or popping when opening or closing your mouth
  • Difficulty or discomfort chewing
  • Jaw locking or limited range of motion
  • Frequent headaches linked to jaw tension

How we approach treatment

We start with an assessment of your jaw's function, often supported by X-rays to get a clear look at the joint and how your bite lines up. From there, we recommend a treatment approach suited to your symptoms — you don't have to live with the discomfort.
